Boot Camper of the Month

I would like to announce that Corrin Keblinsky is our boot camper of the month! She has been with us for a while, shows up promptly, is always ready to workout, has inspired and been inspired by others, and is very dedicated to reach her goals! I’m so proud of her and her accomplishments. This has been a long journey for her and I know that she will never stop aiming for success! (I like the comment that she didn’t like bootcamp when she first joined, ha!)

Why did you join bootcamp?

I have always had problems with my weight and the resulting self-esteem and depression issues that accompany that.  I’ve gone from diet to diet, from one gym membership to another but was never able to stick with anything, sinking me deeper and deeper into what seemed to be a never-ending cycle.  When I saw the ad for Lindsay’s first bootcamp on the PortSports website, I decided to give it a try.  I have to admit, I didn’t like it.  But I think I didn’t like it because I was already going into it with a negative attitude, and struggling through that first session with all of my aches and pains and negative self talk (I can’t do this.  There’s no way this is gonna work) really didn’t make it fun.  So, I started feeling pretty bad about myself…again.  I finally said to myself “this has got to stop.” and, after seeing the great results that Holly was having last summer, I decided to give it another try.  But this time, I made the promise to myself to go in with positive attitude, and to stop beating myself up if something is too hard and I feel like I can’t do it.  I CAN do it…  It might be REALLY hard, but I can do it.
What is your favorite exercise? Least Favorite?

I don’t think I have a specific favorite exercise, but I do like circuit days.  Least favorite… JUMP ROPE!  EVIL EVIL JUMP ROPE!  (Watch, now she’s gonna make me jump rope every day…just wait.)  😉
What is your biggest accomplishment during this bootcamp?

During this current bootcamp?  Well, I guess showing up when I had the worst cold I’ve had since at least the turn of the century is a pretty big accomplishment.  But seriously…  I guess I could say that my biggest accomplishment is losing 30 pounds (since that first-ever bootcamp).  But I’m more proud of how I am feeling about myself, both physically and emotionally.
