New Year, New Start

Happy New Year! I know, I’m late.  I was lying on the beach from Christmas Day up until Jan 5.  I kept my phone off, and left the computer at home. All I wanted to do was enjoy the sun in the Keys with my family 🙂

I’m scared to death of sea creatures, so this was a once in a lifetime shot of me holding a starfish! My hands were shaking and my heart was beating, and I could feel the feet tickling my hand.  I’m not scared of small sharks, stingrays, turtles, etc., but that starfish was not on good terms with me. However, we were friends for 30 seconds and I had to put him back in with his other sea creature friends.

I’m sure most of you have made your New Year’s resolutions by now. What is it? Are you doing this for yourself or for someone else? I just love starting a New Year. You never know what it will bring to your path, but it’s always full of surprises. Last year, Justin and I moved to Oklahoma City then later found out I was 5 months pregnant.  It was actually pretty awesome, because the pregnancy went by so quick! We had beautiful Evelyn Grace on September 18th (all natural!). Her big sister Ayda couldn’t be happier! On top of that, we went to Key West for Christmas and enjoyed our first trip as a family. We had a blast! The sun was out everyday, and we walked by the ocean everyday, couldn’t have been better 🙂

As I’m planning some events for this year, I get more and more excited to see how plans will go! We are in FOUR, yes four, weddings this year! Three of them are in different states. I guess we need to quit being so awesome so people won’t ask us to be in their wedding (seriously, JOKING!)!  I’m truly excited for all of these and can’t wait to see long lost friends again! The girls are going to love meeting everyone!

For this New Year, I plan on being the best mom to our girls; provide support and never ending love for my husband; and continuing to change as many lives as I can. I don’t know what this New Year may bring. I just hope we don’t get pregnant again! It’s time for a break!  But what I DO KNOW is that this year is going to be another amazing journey for my family. We are going to enjoy every minute to it’s fullest until the next year begins 🙂 It’s all about enjoying life like it was your first day to live!
