I know, I know, it’s been EONS! Since I have updated my posts. I honestly have not taken the time to sit down and collect my thoughts. I’ve had a LOT going on within the past 3 months: WE’RE MOVING BACK TO SOUTH CAROLINA! AHHHH!!! Crazy right? Considering it’s about 1,200 miles away, but only steps to the ocean 🙂
Why the change? Well, we’re tired of living the lifestyle America ‘wants’ us to live. I feel like our lives are like that of a wind up toy. Someone turns our gears to start up in the morning, and when we get home from work, those gears slowly come to a stop. Exhaustion from work sets in, and we are too tired to spend time with family, but most of all, focus on our health.
We finally decided to put our foot down, and live the life that we have dreamed of for years. No more waiting on the side lines!
We are ready and the time is NOW! Because if we waited any longer, we’d still be doing what we don’t want to do. We found the house of our dreams (which we went through HELL to get the closing done!) nestled on 3.5 acres of land and only .9 miles away from the beach. The town is called McClellanville, SC. Established in the 1700’s and nestled in the beautiful St. Francis Marion Forest, there are no words to explain how be
autiful the town is! We are really looking forward to raising our girls, starting a farm, and using the business I am involved in now to open up an Organic Juice Bar! Everytime I think of our plans, I want to scream it! I get so excited because I KNOW that we will get there!
So what about our jobs? Well, we had to make some sacrifices. And the reason being was because we know this is RIGHT for our family. Justin (my husband) works for Michelin. He recently put in his two weeks so we can move into our house. So he is jobless right now. Some of you may have just gasped right now, but I don’t care. Would you be willing to sacrifice something important in your life to live your dreams? Some people call us crazy, but most have told me that they envy us. And what I’ve found was that they have no reason to not follow their dream. If I paid you $1M to lick my toilet, would you do it? Most likely yes, but if I paid you $5 to lick my toilet, what would you say then? FORGET ABOUT IT! But what if someone held your children for ransom for $1M, would you pay it? Of course you would. You would find the means of getting the money to get your children back safely. What I’m trying to say is that same emotion and passion to get your children back, should be the SAME passion and desire to get to your dream.
My bootcamper, Julie, told me that she was so jealous of us. She said that she wishes they would have done the same thing. The first thing I asked her was, “What’s holding you back?” She said kids, job, etc. I shook my head and asked, “What’s really holding you back?” She couldn’t really find the answer. There wasn’t an evil person holding a gun to her head, telling her to stay or he’ll shoot her. It was the reality that her desire and passion were never triggered to reach her dreams. I told her that she and her family can still go! The time is NOW while that desire is there! Because if they don’t, five years down the road, they will be living the same life, and wishing they had a spot to relax FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES.
I hope that what I shared with you today will help you focus on your desire to accomplish those dreams. Dreams are ENDLESS. They are an ultimate goal we desire to capture. Without them, we may be doomed to roam around the world never excelling at anything, or attempting to do better.
