Yummy Juicer Recipe

Day 024/365 - Essence of Jack

If you have a juicer, use it. If you don’t have one, I’d recommend you get one! Look on Craigslist or check out your local Walmart, Target, Kmart, etc. for one. You can find the Jack LaLanne’s brand for  like $50-$60.  Juicing is a great way to get a boost of those natural vitamins and minerals in no time flat.  And you can use the shavings for some scrumptious smoothies!  Don’t worry, I’ll post some recipes on this site to keep you updated;)

I like to call this recipe The Lindsaynator.  This recipe is so rich in protein, fiber, phytonutrients, and packed with vitamins and minerals.  After drinking this juice, you’ll be able to pick up a car.  Ok, well, maybe not in literal terms, but you’ll feel like you will be able to!  Just remember, put all the veggies in FIRST then the fruits LAST. This is so you can flush out any extra veggie juice from the juicer.

3 Kale leaves and stems

Half a sweet potato cut into small chunks (with skin)

2-3 medium sized carrots (don’t peel the outside with the peeler, just wash them really good)

2-3 medium sized celery stalks with leaves

3 small apples stemmed and cored and cut into fourths (with skin)

After juicing all the ingredients, pour over ice, and top it off with some cinnamon and/or nutmeg and stir.

ENJOY!
